Regional palliative care study formed in Parkland region
An ad hoc working group led by Yvonne Hrynkiw of PRHA will study and recommend improvements for regional palliative care. The effort aims to cross community and facility lines and align with a new provincial initiative. The Catholic Women's League is urging governments to designate palliative care as an essential health service.

Landmark burns Treherne hotel in early morning fire
The century old Central Hotel in Treherne was destroyed by fire on Sunday May 16. Smoke appeared around 6 am and six people inside the building escaped without injuries.
