Parkland Ethanol Plant Drive Seeks Local Seed Money
An editorial notes Parkland Ethanol Co op members asked Roblin producers March 8 for seed money to back an 80 million litre plant. They seek $100 000 initial funding under a letter of intent with Outlook Resources and Tootinaowazibeeng First Nation, plus $3 million for the co op’s 10 percent equity and $10 000 per share for producers. The plant would need eight million bushels of feed grain yearly, create about 30 jobs, and may spur further regional economic development.
