Hillsburg budget details move toward higher taxes and debt plans

Perch Removal Efforts Underway in Roblin

Public works employees Jason Nash and Tom Paczkoski removed about 35,000 perch from East Goose Lake over a week starting May 9, transferring them to an oxygenated tank for transport to Lake of the Prairies. Mayor Doug Hazlitt aims to clear the lake before the 2010 World Fly Fishing Championships. The town also hosts the FLIPPR Trout Festival June 6-8 with related events at the Community Centre and a banquet with Christine Melnick attending.
