Roblin Sec-Treas Appointed As Council Approves By Law
At a council meeting Chas Brydon of Roblin was named Sec Treas with a 300 salary for the year’s remainder. A by law was read to raise 1500 for current expenses. Community notes report farmers with poultry, wheat and oats, and road work ahead in Makaroff. A citizen from Zorra complains of local opposition to a school-building funding by law of 1400.

New Book List For Rural Manitoba Readers
The University of Manitoba Extension Library releases Catalogue No. 4 for adults in rural Manitoba. It highlights 42 000 volumes with a 37 page 800 title fiction section. In 1962 librarians filled 142 500 book requests for 10 800 registered borrowers via open shelf and 200 travelling libraries.
