Cromarty Community Club Met May 8th
The Cromarty Community Club held its regular meeting at the Hall on Monday May 8. The minutes of the last meeting were read and the financial report given. A total of 80.25 was realized from the telephone whist party held on April 28. A thank you note from the Tummel 4-H Club and a 5 donation for the use of the hall were received. A letter from the Hospital Auxiliary requested bake sale donations for Saturday May 27. Marie Mohr thanked everyone for the fruit basket she received in hospital. Arrangements were made for a social evening in mid June and a committee was appointed to contact everyone in the district for lunch.

Obituary of Alexander Grant Sinclair Pioneer of Across the Boggy
Alexander Grant Sinclair died in Vancouver on April 29 at eighty five. Survived by son Donald and brother Jack, he helped settle the Across the Boggy district east of Togo Sask in 1902. He worked in farming construction and the Canadian National Railway and served as superintendent of settlement 1931 to 1951. Funeral May 4 in Saskatoon with pallbearers listed.

Local Pioneer Remembered In Togo And La Crosse Circles
Obituary recalls a longtime Togo Lodge original member active in La Crosse soccer curling and the first curling rink. An elder at St Andrews Presbyterian Church he spoke Gaelic and belonged to Land Inspectors Association and the Appraisal Institute. Also noted are Salvation Army numbers for residents and seniors helped last year.
