Russell Health Centre Chemotherapy Unit Expansion Approved
A May recognition ceremony in Russell celebrated the expansion of the Russell Health Centre Chemotherapy Unit. Deputy Premier Cliff Cullen announced the province will provide 700,000 of the project costs, joining the 1.8 million raised by the local Expanding Community Cancer Care Committee toward 2.5 million total. Community support and regional health partners backed the plan to serve 15 surrounding communities with a much larger, fourfold expansion of the unit, expected to begin later this year.
