Mr and Mrs Earnest S Wherd and family thank friends for sympathy and beautiful floral tributes during their recent bereavement.
Mr. Fred Gillespie left Monday for his old home in Ireland. Jay Watson of Manitoba Food elevators renewed acquaintances in town this week. Mrs Hill returns from Dauphin hospital healthier. Mr. Douglas of Tantallon visits Dr. G. P. Baker. Fred Rebenchuk resumes bootmaking in Lee On building Main Street. Melville Tripp passed first year exams at the University of Saskatchewan. Cubs rode to Makaroff for a picnic and hike home on a fine day. E. E. Thompson, Royal Bank manager, transferred to Lang Sask. Mrs and Mr Thompson leave many friends behind.
Mr P Hirynchuk made a business trip to Winnipeg. Mr and Mrs H Batchelor were aceengers to Roblin. W Stefanie left for Kamsee to spend the summer. Farmers finished wheat seeding and plowed for oats and barley. Ruenous little girl on the way to recovery. Arbor Day saw school children busy cleaning grounds. Weekend visitors included M Curry, his sister Lucille of Dauphin. H Batchelor reported a successful farm stock and machinery sale last week with good prices, auctioneered by Williamson of Roblin. F Warren, former section foreman at Shortdale, visited on Sunday and returned to Kuroki Sask after remarking on better seeding progress here than westward.
Mr and Mrs Elmer Travis motored to Roblin on Monday. Mr and Mrs Lawrence Maguire visited in this district on Sunday. Mr and Mrs Burrell and Master Charlie were in Roblin on Monday. Sympathy extends to Mr and Mrs Joe Redman on the death of their little son Bobby after a brief illness. Funeral services were at Silverwood church on Monday afternoon with Rev H Smith delivering the sermon.
Multiple sale notices list bedroom furniture a cream separator oats at 64 cents a bushel and a large Brunswick phonograph with records and albums. Also posted is a health notice under the Manitoba Health Act warning residents to clean yards and dispose of refuse to avoid prosecutions. Additional listings include registered Silver Black Foxes and other household goods from Roblin area sellers.

The War Memorial Committee schedules a public meeting at the TO.0.F hall on Friday May 18 atrem. A detailed report will be presented by permanent trustees. Dr. Drach and Waterman Fountain oversee the memorial project. Reward offered for a gold fountain pen with initials C.H. and clip.
