Roblin residents plan Mother's Day events at Union Church and Sunday School. The town gears up for Arbor Day rites and a health booth on Manitoba Agricultural Special Train. Roblin Baseball reorganization elected officers and community mourns Miss E. Petersen with funeral services held in Roblin.
A meeting held on Saturday May 3 organized the football club for the upcoming season. Officers elected include Patron L J L Whitlam President S Kulberg Vice President W Bennie Bee Treasy W J Westwood and Executives J L Mitchell A Jamieson and J E Baine. Practice nights set for Tuesday Thursday and Saturday with a 1 dollar membership fee. All interested are invited to attend at the grounds.
The wealth of the country is described as producing significant shares of global resources. Canada holds about ten percent of cobalt and pulpwood, along with other minerals and goods. Divine service and Sunday School held at CLPOM Hall with Superintendent Mer P TL McPhail. Neighbors Tom Shinp sow and family visited. Sympathy extended to Mrs Walton on her husband’s passing.

Mrs Forrester has returned and Mrs A Chisholm arrived home. Wheat is in for many in this district. People enjoy spearing fish at Short Creek with large catches reported including a 36% pound fish by Eddie Johnston and Phos Cameron notable as second. Floods subsided allowing Miss Thorandson to reach town and Mrs AL Anderson is thanked for filling her place.
May events in Deepdale include a May 4 fire caused by a spark from an engine. May 7 marks a school start. Henry Thompson returns home from Winnipeg with his bride on May 4. A postmaster appointment and moves, local meetings, and garden interest are noted along with household and civic chatter.
Community notes remind residents of the Farmers Special Train on the 17th and Mothers Day observances. Miss Beggs seen in town visiting, Alan Grondy ad in the Revenw urged reading. Women’s Institute met to pass a heavy docket. A funeral for Mary Hilderman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J Hilderman, was held at the church after a spell in Dauphin hospital.
The Willing Workers Club first member and Sabbath School members laid flowers in mourning. The entire community joins the bereaved family as Mary dies at the young age of eighteen.
Ratepayers are reminded under the Village By-Law to clean back yards and remove all refuse by May 15. An annual spring inspection will be conducted on that date. Heath Officer Dr. Coppinger oversees the inspection.
