Mr S J Argent purchased a new Ford car. Mr Jack Sanders leaves the farm to move into Deepdale. Mr Chas Filmore of Makaroff rents the Brydon farm. Mr McGuire of Gilbert Plains visits Mr G Frasers. Mrs J Christian and family plan departure for Grimsby Ont next week. Mr J McNeill, recently studying in Winnipeg, preached here last Sunday. A number from here attended the Roblin play last Thursday and were pleased with the evening.

A forest fire near Duck Mountain was extinguished by HR Webb and Drires Temmage. Mr Curle had a close call with a breaking tongue but steered to safety near the Merri sale Post Office.
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs UG A Sloan on the birth of a son on May 1 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. The W I will hold their monthly meeting Tuesday at 2 30 in Union Church with Mrs A Large as hostess. Walter Crane and Leslie Spear visited Saturday en route to Dauphin. Mothers Day is planned for next Sunday in Sabbath School with a special program. Mr Jas F McNeil preached last Sunday and his younger brother Locksley McNeill will lead services next Sunday May 9. Deepdale and Silverwood services follow usual times. a newly appointed minister may also join the field with Mr McNeil.

Salvation Army announces meetings at Roblin in the Orange Hall with youth gatherings and weekly services. Young People's Meeting at 7 30 pm. regular Salvation Army meetings on Tuesday and Thursday at 6 pm. Annual Self Denial Appeal runs May 9 to 16 with worldwide fundraising drive.
