April W I Meeting Notes in Shell River
The April meeting of the W I at Mrs. F Limb's home had 10 ladies, two new members joined, and reports from standing committees. Mrs Limb spoke on a District meeting in Russell, plans were made for the District Convention May 20, a study of Ceylon continued, and a social hour hosted by Mrs Angus featured a prize won by Mrs Lowe and a dainty launch. The May meeting is set for May 19 at Mrs Vic Lowe's home at 2 pm with grandmothers to be entertained.

Pioneer Mr. McBride Dies after a Civic Life in Roblin
Mr. McBride born Markdale Ontario January 1 1876 moved with family to Minnedosa in 1892 later lived Strathclair and Franklin districts. He came to Roblin 1893 homesteaded Sunny Slope district then moved to Roblin 1937. He farmed ran a saw mill and a summer camp at Madge Lake and served as reeve councillor and mayor of Roblin.
