Province asks CEC review of LP RTO and emission changes
Conservation Minister Stan Struthers directs the Clean Environment Commission to review Louisiana Pacific's request to modify its Swan Valley OSB plant's Environment Act licence. Public comments closed March 13 after evaluation by Manitoba's environmental regulator. LP says upgrades cut emissions and health risks remain negligible with formaldehyde well below provincial standards most of the time.
