MVSD Faces Surge in Level 2 and 3 Students

Mountain View School Division reports a sharp rise in Level 2 and 3 students needing extra support from about 50 two years ago to over 140 this year. Superintendent Jack Sullivan highlights funding implications, rising costs, and increased EA staffing as clinicians improve assessments identifying more students with conditions such as autism and fetal alcohol exposure.

Legion Ladies Auxiliary Meeting Minutes

The Ladies Auxiliary held its regular meeting on Tuesday March 14 with President Velma Buick presiding. Eight members attended. minutes were adopted. Frances moved accounts paid and presented financials. Ruth Zimmer and Anne Laurie seconded. Anne Laurie moved Handivan to attend the Swan River District meeting on April 3 2006. A card party is planned for April at the Drop In Centre hosted by Myrt McKay. Velma Watson won the Ways and Means draw. socials are planned for April by Sylvia Nykyforak and Sheila Popoff. Meeting adjourned after lunch by Ruth Zimmer and Donna LeBlanc.
