Keep children safe on Canadian farms in safety week
Canada Safety Council urges farm families to guard kids from machinery chemicals and animals. The CAIR program reports 217 agricultural fatalities among children ages 14 and younger from 1990 to 2005 with runovers drownings and animal-related injuries as leading causes. Implement a no extra riders rule and create fenced play areas to limit exposure while training children in safety and legal operating ages.
