The Roblin Agricultural Society held its monthly meeting at the arena office. President Leigh Waggoner discussed a new midway for the fair and applying for a Career Start participant. CJGX will host a pancake breakfast and assist promotions. Jill and Nelson Daneluk will provide supper. a portable stage trailer has been found and may be purchased.

Roblin Citizen of the Year Lorraine Souter surprised and humbled
Lorraine Souter says she was shocked to learn she is Roblin’s Citizen of the Year for 1991. The longtime volunteer has led 4 H Brownies and Cubs activities, coached and organized hockey and baseball programs, and helped with fairs and multicultural events while also staffing arena booths and aiding residents and aging parents.

Dauphin Woman Wins Second $10,000 Scratch Prize
Eva Popadyn, 73, of Dauphin, scratched a Banco lottery ticket at Dauphin Super Thrifty Mart and won $10,000. Western Canada Lottery Corporation confirmed the prize, marking a second $10,000 win after an identical 1986 Zodiac prize. She plans to share winnings with her two daughters and husband John, as she did before.
