Return of RCAF veteran Sammy Cailes to Roblin home
WO1 Lloyd Sammy Cailes returns to Roblin after serving with the RCAF since 1940. He flew 20 missions before being shot down over Cologne in 1942. Captured, he spent time in Stalag B until repatriation in January. He praises Red Cross parcels and awaits further RCAF duties. His brother Cyril also serves overseas.
