Aging in Manitoba survey advances planning for senior services
A field survey of Manitobans aged 60 and over will run this summer across Winnipeg and rural areas to aid comprehensive planning for senior services. Ten university students will conduct about 1000 interviews as part of the Aging in Manitoba study directed by Betty Havens and Enid Thompson, with completion expected by September. The Canadian Wheat Board announced quota changes effective July 9 1976 for Hard Red Spring Wheat C and D Barley A and B Soft White Spring Wheat A B C and D Contract Glenlea and Utility Types Wheat A and B. Quotas terminate on July 9 1976 in all shipping blocks delivery points and areas.

Lovas Couple Attend 50th Royal Canadian Legion Convention
Mr and Mrs Arthur Lovas spent last week in Winnipeg for the 50th Anniversary Convention of the Royal Canadian Legion held at the Convention Centre. Also visiting were Mr and Mrs Jim Butterfield and Bobby of Swan River who met Mrs Dorothy Bailes and attended a dance at the Community Centre on Saturday.
