District 8 Pool Convention at Kamsack Holds Opening Session
Delegates 96 plus 34 visitors gathered June 15 at Kamsack for the District 8 Sub-District 5 and 10 Pool Convention. Geo. of Verigin opened with nominations for chairman Wilfrid Lister of Pelly, vice-chairman Del Blewett of Togo, and secretary Sid May of Togo and Runnymede. Speakers praised cooperative work, reports were strong, and the gathering elected officers and endorsed the Call to Action for greater pool grain deliveries.

National Barley Contest Deadline Reminders and Rules
Contestants must submit field judging applications by June 29 to the provincial chairman. Forms have been sent or mailed to each participant, with requests to obtain one if missing. Submissions must arrive before the deadline to be considered for judging by Plant Products Division experts or provincial officials. The maximum score is 100 points, allocated to field neatness 10, weed freedom 25, purity 15, disease and pests 10, stand uniformity 10, maturity 10, and yield appearance 10.
