Goose Lake High held its 2013 commencement on Saturday with 33 students receiving diplomas. The parade in the afternoon captured a festive mood as graduates bid farewell to high school days. Full coverage to follow in next week's Review.
In a late night incident a bear approached homes on Goose Lake Drive East near Tom Bowley and Kozmeniuk properties. Bob Dayson chased the animal on a quad as conservation officers tranquilized and tagged the bear before relocating it to Upper Dam.
Parkway Co op members heard at the Rossbar AGM on June 4 that 2013 sales reached about $33 million with net savings of $1.76 million and nearly $940,000 cash paid to 5,068 members. GM Kevin Arthur noted major changes including a $2 million C Store build in Rossbum and expansion of the card lock system amid regional impacts from the Asessippi Hill landslide.
