District Women Institute convention highlights progress and temperance goals
The Manitoba district convention of the Women's Institute met on June 8 with delegates from Grand View, Gilbert Plains, Makinak, Ochre River, Winnipegosis and others. Reports showed yearly progress, with addresses on temperance, citizenship for British-born married women, and public health. Demonstrations by the Little Mother's League on home nursing and baby care drew heavy attendance, and Grand View accepted an invitation to host next year.
