Nurse in training Miss Naida Framingham of Dauphin is on holiday at her Cromarty home. Mr J Simpson of Brandon spent the weekend with Mr and Mrs 8 B Simpson. Mr and Mrs G Laird left for Winnipeg for daughter Joyce’s normal school graduation and Ellen Laird’s wedding. they return via Gates. Joyce will accompany them home.

Rev Spence of Kamsack to assist Mr Ireland in Grand Narrows hall for services on June 24 with baptisms and communion.

Deepdale Ladies Aid Bake Sale and Church Changes

The Deepdale Ladies' Aid met June 13 with 11 members and 4 visitors, planning a Bake Sale at Roblin Electric, and selecting a committee. The Deepdale United Church meeting June 14 discussed service time from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 1 to Aug 26, re elected stewards elders and trustees, and set a clean up day for June 28. Funeral for Mark A. Clarke held June 20, and Roblin town council moved Lot 18 sale and by laws 461 462 for Lot 16 purchase Block L Plan 167.

Sunday visitors join Ed and Emma Andres at home

Sunday visitors at the home of Mr and Mrs Ed Andres included Mr and Mrs Valentine Kendel of MacNutt Sask with their son and daughter in law Rev and Mrs M Kendall. Square Dance calling school was noted in the visit.

Wells in Roblin Village Surpass Hundred mark

In Roblin village Sask three samples were taken from each of 104 wells for analysis revealing a surprising total. The survey stems from Lake View Lodge York Lake Yorkton area and is noted as part of broader local water assessment conducted on Sunday June 13th.

A Deepdale W I sponsored concert and dance in Deepdale Hall on Friday night June 22. Admission 35c for 12 to 14 and 75c for adults. Lamp draw and lunch served. Also notice of two wanted ads and a municipal revision court date in Dropmore July 6 1956 at 2 PM to review electors roll listings.

The Roblin and District Chamber of Commerce thanks everyone who helped on Lake-O on June 8. Bills remain unsettled but proceeds are expected to reach $1,400 or more. A statement will be issued once accounts are settled.

Donations From Local Groups Highlight Community Support

The Ladies' Auxiliary of B E S L contributed $50 and later $51, with additional $23 from Lake O refreshments hosted by the Eastern Star and Masonic Lodge. This shows ongoing charitable giving from local organizations to community causes.
