Inglis Elevators Restored to National Historic Site
The Inglis grain elevator row, once five wooden structures central to a prairie town known as the Barley Capital of the World, was designated a National Historic Site in 1997. Volunteers funded and completed historic restorations, finishing the last elevator in 2021, with painting by a team including Make Elevators Great Again and CBC coverage by Rick Mercer.
