Mrs G Harvey Jr left Saturday for Dauphin while Lilian Grundy returned to Winnipeg after a pleasant week with her mother and friends. Mrs W G Kerswell and Mrs E Howe depart for Winnipeg to attend the Women’s Institutes convention at the Agricultural College. The Young People’s Society met Sunday after service with Mrs Alan Grundy presiding. Mrs Cameron sang and Miss Grundy read Psalm 23 as Mr J McNeil led a discussion. A clash of questions and answers showed strong interest. Older members joined the after service gathering and singing. The Ladies Aid met Thursday at Mrs Cameron’s home with a new treasurer replacing Mrs Sinclair who moved to Roblin. Mrs Alan Grundy was appointed. Picnic proceeds totaled 45 dollars from May 31. Materials are being ordered for the Full bazaar during the quiet farm period. A quilting party is planned and Derp dale and Silverwood societies meet June 5. The meeting closed with benediction and the hostesses served. Next meeting July 3 at Mrs Crane’s.

The Makaroff Girls Club met in the church on June 11 with Alis G. Harvey presiding in Ethel Rogers absence. Clara Crane read the 16th Psalm, plans included carpet for steps to match the altar, buying hymn books for the choir, and a Canadian linen sale at the June 27 picnic. Mrs J Cameron Kiddly made a fancy apron earning $12.265. The meeting closed with the Lord's Prayer.

Grand Narrows notes seedling completion in Kamaack district and farmers hope for rain as fields and pastures are very dry. The GIFL members hosted a sewing session at Mrs Jackson's. Sunday school attendance was 9 and growing. No service Sunday due to the pastor away, but Sunday School as usual at 1 pm. Pig Club met Friday at USFLM Hall with brief business and a talk from Project Leader Mr T Burrell on caring for their pigs.
