A Dauphin event at Feir grounds on Thursday June 16 will award $935 in prize money across tournaments and races. Midway attractions include a ferris wheel a merry go round and refreshment booths accompany the sports program.
The MacNutt Sports committee has a full schedule for June 16 including baseball and softball events and a gala dance in the evening. A reader notice invites attendance and notes Mrs. H. Watson traveled Sunday to Yorkton to visit her daughter Mrs. E. Hartmerr.
On May 23 a pretty wedding united Rose Davey and Rene Carriere in Ste Claire. The bride wore a lace trimmed white gown with a long veil and carried American Beauty Roses, with bridesmaids Imelda Carriere and Josephine Langan in blue and pink taffeta. Best men were Leo Davey and Armand Carriere. Guests included Mrs. George Carriere and Mrs. Davey. An evening dance followed at Silverwood hall.

Pasture rent approved for D G Andrews at $15 cash for 1949 season. Several accounts approved for payment including Tischaniski Kiksmith, Brydon stamps, tax title, audit, Malenchuk wire, Kane Marr grader blade, Cockerill lumber.
