Infrastructure program backed by Cowling predicts centre approval
Cowling stressed the ongoing infrastructure program and an excellent chance the proposed community centre will win approval from the Canada/Manitoba Infrastructure committee. He highlighted a three way partnership and over 20 projects totaling more than 1.5 million dollars, creating jobs.

Derkach lauds Manitoba highway improvements plan
Roblin-Russell MLA Len Derkach welcomed the spring highway program announced by Highways and Transportation Minister Glen Findlay. The project list totals over 3.2 million dollars with grade widening, gravel work on Highway 16 west of PA 354 to Shoal Lake and a 12 kilometre section of Highway 592 to Inglis, plus surface treatment in Inglis. The plan aims to create about 960 direct construction jobs and 905 in direct or spin-off positions, and includes funding for flood repairs from last year.
