Robert Campbell Ordained In Manitoba United Church
Robert Campbell of Roblin was ordained to the Ministry of Word Sacraments and Pastoral Care in the United Church of Canada at a service in Ashern Manitoba. He was among seven Manitobans welcomed into the United Church ministry this year and will serve in the Holland Cypress River Pastoral Charge starting July 1. He studied at Emmanuel College Toronto earning a Master of Divinity and earned multiple scholarships in homiletics and church history. He is the eldest son of Mr and Mrs Frank Campbell of Roblin.

Arbitration set to settle Inter mountain dispute at Roblin Hall
After a series of negotiating and conciliation meetings the Inter mountain School Division board and local teachers committee agreed to arbitration. A large crowd attended the Parkland Continuing Education Display Day in Roblin Memorial Hall on Saturday June 3. The event showcased Adult Continuing Education course displays and included piano solos by Sheila Bailes and Beth Hojnocki, student performances, and a live oil painting demonstration by Milton Achtimechuk. Prizes were drawn for ceramic pieces, cakes, and the prize oil painting with proceeds funding Display Day expenses.
