Celebrating 35 Years of L E A R N Adult Literacy Program
Lifelong Education for Adults Reading and Numeracy LEARN began in 1987 when St Lazare area seniors sought better literacy. The Manitoba Metis Federation funded an 8700 grant forming the St Lazare Binscarth Russell Literacy Program. The lineup grew to include GED and ESL in multiple communities with renewed instructors and new initiatives through 1999 Power Up computer courses across Roblin St Lazare and Birtle.
