Dessert for Spring With Chiffon Cake and Peaches
A simple fruit dessert using a chiffon cake, peaches, and whipped cream. Layer the cake with whipped cream and peaches, then frost the top and sides with remaining cream. Garnish with peach slices in a swirl pattern and toasted coconut, then chill before serving. Serves 12 to 16.

Rural Fire Fighters Training Schedule Set Across Manitoba
Fourteen schools will train volunteer fire brigades statewide from May 28 to October 20. The first session opened May 28 in Snow Lake, announced by Minister of Labour Obie Baizley. By mid October another 200 men will join the roster of graduates. The program is jointly run by the Manitoba fire commissioner and the provincial civil defense organization.
