Youths case in Roblin court on concealed weapon charge
A 17 year old Inglis youth appeared in Roblin provincial court on May 21 to answer a concealed weapon charge from April 17 at Memorial Hall. He received one year of unsupervised probation and a weapon ban. Judge Allen James urged him to avoid trouble and seek authorities if problems arise. A 75 year old Roblin area man was fined 300 dollars plus costs for driving while disqualified and 40 dollars plus costs for failing to yield at the PTH 5 and 83 intersection.

Winnipeg court fines for impaired driving and suspensions
A Winnipeg woman, Audrey Oleschak, fined 1100 for driving over .08 and driving while suspended after being re-arrested within a half hour. She faced a three month automatic licence suspension. Help Centre marks another strong year for seniors services
The Roblin and District Community Help Centre reports a successful year as coordinator Anna Stewart notes many seniors remain unaware of available services. The annual meeting drew over 50 seniors, board members and guests. The centre offers Lifeline, Handi-Van, Maple Manor meals, advocacy, and info on seniors programs while relying on fundraising and volunteers.
