The Togo High School graduation was held Friday May 27 with a banquet for graduates in the school auditorium, a Community Hall exercise, and a dance. An ACT.-CJGX Amateur Hour raised 432 for TB. Condolences extended to Mrs P Jones and family on their husband and father's death May 28.
Mr and Mrs W Livingstone and David of San Clair visited the Livingstone family for a double birthday anniversary honoring Mrs Livingstone and her father Mr C McKenzie on May 26. Visitors included Mrs B Purcell of Kamsack and BI Anderson of Winnipeg. Other guests were Mr and Mrs Klassen of San Clara Mr and Mrs Ernie Lord and two daughters of Melville and Mr and Mrs John Allen Sr. The McCorquodales and Mrs L Jolliffe drove to Dauphin for Shelby McCorquodale’s graduation. Ira Gardner of Tyner Sask visited relatives and is recuperating from hospital in Winnipeg.
The May meeting of the Women’s Institute in Shell River was held at Mrs. W Lowe’s with eight members and two visitors. A talk on Pollo by Mrs. A Lunan, corsages and contests entertained the group, followed by lunch. Next meeting set for June 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Mrs. L Andrews. Mrs. Otke to speak on First Aid in the home. visitors welcome.
Mrs A Diamond and Jack of Togo were Sunday visitors at the home of Sanders.
A local notice notes visits among Silverwood and Roblin residents including Ernie Armistead Winnie Johnson and Tom Adams passing. A Grade XII group at the school lists graduates with Aurelia Andres Eugene Barabash Adelard Fitkowski and others. The event features the Gover nor General's Medal awarded to Douglas Wright, a school choir concert, valedictory Adele Maslove and a dramatic address by Dr J M Brown with a concluding dance and Kamsack Orchestra.
Mrs. G Van Drecht hosts Makaroff and Cryderman kin while Arnott and Traub families visit relatives in Goodeve and Winnipeg. Dr Elizabeth Arnott heads to Winnipeg after holiday with her mother. The Makaroff Girls 4H Sewing Club holds Achievement Day on Thursday June 9 at 2 p.m. in the hall with lunch. all are welcome.
Grade 10 and Grade XI diplomas were awarded by Miss Hunter and Mr Wright. The ceremony listed faculty, including Literature by Cynthia Michalevich, Mathematics by Fred Eslinger, French by Ruth Elaschuk, Science by Peter Nickita, History by Starlette Hawryluk, and Chemistry and other subjects presented by several staff. The diplomas were conferred to forty-five graduates in a formal ceremony.

A Sale of Home Cooking will be held in the Roblin Electric on Saturday June 18 at 2 30 p m Sponsored by River bend Ladies The regular monthly meeting of the Roblin Hospital Aid will be held Tuesday June 7 at 2 30 Plan to attend Roblin St Mathews Lutheran Ladies Aid will hold a Bake Sale on June 11 at 3 p m in the Roblin Electric store
The Eastern Star will hold a bake sale in Macleods Store on Saturday June 4 at 2 00 p m. Proceeds support local charitable work and community projects.
