Golden Boy Faces Further Tests to Ensure Safe Restoration
The Golden Boy statue atop Manitoba's Legislative Building will undergo wind tunnel tests and further studies after corrosion was found in its central post and support plate. Government officials emphasize no risk to people or the structure currently, with the project part of a 7 million dollar restoration begun in 2000, including regilding and lighting upgrades.
