Roblin Fair Parade Hailed One Mile Long In 2000
Aug 2 20 years ago Chamber president Sherry Patterson called Roblin Agricultural Fair parade the biggest and best ever stretching over a mile and taking 45 minutes to pass a point. Ken Chase won the first King Farmer title at the Ag Society Fair with 34 entrants. Livestock totals at Roblin Auction Mart included 234 head with 94 cattle. Feeder steers 400 to 500 pounds sold for 1.00 to 1.15 per pound. RCMP Cyclist of the Month was awarded to Herb Rist by Const Wendy Haussecker.
