Heard About Town in a Scottish-tinged note

A lively town column from a Saskatchewan paper hums with local gossip. Robert Smaie prefers a nickname, while the Bobbed Hair Epidemic comment mocks flappers. Talks of Mitchell’s offices, mayoral plans, and a “Here's How” agreement hint at local politics. Baseball chatter from Inglis Sports involves Deepdale and McNutt players, plus team amalgamation talk between Deepdale and Roblin. The Capsline Sisters sing a ballad, and Till Scott takes George Sout’s elevator post as rain prompts farmers to wait on Saskatchewan’s last vote.
