Wright brothers help in air crew service in Winnipeg

David and Clarence Wright, born in Roblin Manitoba and raised at Rainey Lake Ontario, volunteered for air crew service with the RCAF in Winnipeg. The brothers, who worked in a general store, completed a 300 mile journey to enlist.

Helena McArthur of Roblin wed Morley Somers of Gilbert Plains in a July 15 ceremony at the Manse Roblin conducted by Rev D Conly. The bride wore blue alpaca rayon crepe, with Lillian Mickelson as attendant and Wilfred Somers as best man. A buffet luncheon followed at the bride’s parents home, and the couple will reside in the Gilbert Plains district.
