Roblin Lions Host RCMP Musical Ride for 40th Anniversary
More than 600 attendees braved soggy fair grounds on Tuesday evening July 12 to watch the RCMP Musical Ride presented by the Roblin and District Lions Club in celebration of its 40th anniversary. Lion Wil Sutton, founder and 89, received a salute from Inspector Patrick Egan and horse Sam leading the riders. The Ride, first staged in 1887, has showcased the force’s history worldwide since 1930 including at the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations this year.
