The Shell River municipal council met in Roblin on Tuesday July 9 with Reeve Rogeg presiding and Councillors Arnott Nowosad Diamond Clarke and others present. They adopted the minutes, authorized road and cemetery actions, approved a bylaw for a lease option with Snedon, granted funds for Roblin Cemetery, and approved several accounts before adjourning.

In Mirridable Mr and Mrs Joe Pxasky take up residence in their new home this week. A large bear feared to be the largest in recent times was shot by Mr H Parklay. A four year old bull owned by Mr Bert Cockerell was found dead. Norman Cockerill and Howard Barklay waited near the caress until 11 p.m and used a flash light to shoot the bear.
