Roblin Town to Install Electric Ice Maintenance System

The Roblin Town Council recommends a winter activated electric ice maintenance system to remain in use. It will create an open water area but pose no serious danger and will be barricaded with warnings for public safety. Annual operation and maintenance cost is about 1200 to 1600 dollars borne by the town. Adjacent Kin Park offers free overnight camping and the lake is expected to attract more visitors while reducing an eyesore image. Mayor Lorne Boguski supports the plan.
