Ceremonies mark the official opening of Roblin District Hospital with public inspection and speeches by local and Health Department officials. Stores will close 2 to 4 p.m. for the event and a ribbon cutting will inaugurate the new facility followed by tea on the grounds.

Celebrate Twenty Fifth Wedding Anniversary of Mr and Mrs Douse
Mr and Mrs N Douse celebrate their twenty fifth wedding anniversary at their home on July 1. He came to Canada in 1911 and after a mill accident lost his right arm, later farming on a Hillsburg homestead. They married in 1925 at the Keating home near Roblin and have two children.
