Shell River council backs CDC aid and district plans
The Shell River RM council approved a 6000 grant to the Roblin and District Community Development Corporation and boosted its loan pool by 2400 at a May meeting. It urged provincial help for forest tent caterpillar spraying, appointed planning district reps, funded road, dust control and maintenance works for 2001, supported the Roblin RCMP golf event with 30, and aided Canada Day with 500. An 80 to six acre variation to allow a small hobby poultry operation was approved.
