District News Notes Family Visits and Summer Wedding
A district visit featured Della and daughter with a granddaughter while attending the June 29 outdoor wedding of Della’s grandson Chris Miller to Kristi Hrynkiw at the bride’s parents home. Ray Georgetts and Irene Georgetts visited from Winnipeg. Fred Glushka returned from Winnipeg with son Dennis, recovering after surgery. A weekend included Edna Jerome at the Miller Hrynkiw wedding and a surprise 25th anniversary reception for Barb and Maurice Lamontagne. A Mennonite youth group sang for tenants Thursday. a late Saturday storm caused damage across town with many trees and lawn furniture moved. On Monday tenants enjoyed a fireworks display from the Residence front lawn.

Deja vu over giant Manitoba mushroom photo in years old tale
Bill Savliuk of Roblin recalls a Yorkton Chronicle image from the 1970s of a huge mushroom brought home by a tractor. He notes the same photo reappeared in the June issue of the Review, and the image hung above a Inglis liquor outlet. The photo, courtesy of Ron Waddell, sparked calls to buy the tractor.
