Organizational Meeting For Civil Defence Sub-Area
An organizational meeting for the Dauphin Manitoba Civil Defence Sub-Area is set for Thursday at 8 pm in the Town Hall. The second such meeting follows a May Winnipeg call by Premier Douglas Campbell and includes representatives from Swan River Shell River Hilsbourg Shelmouth Bouton Grandview Gilbert Plains Dauphin Ethelbert Lawrence Ochre River Ste Rose Siglunes Massey River Mountain area towns and local districts.

After a June tornado devastated Vita Manitoba injuring 23 and damaging a quarter of the town Shea's Winnipeg Brewery Ltd the province's oldest industrial resident donated 1000 to the Vita Disaster Fund.
