Messinbird athlete earns ACTY honors over finalists
Jarrett Newton, volleyball coach for Messinbird province, says Hunter was not terribly surprised to be chosen for ACTY honors over three finalists from A, AAA and AAAA schools. Newton notes few top players balance two sports and calls the achievement huge. He adds Karl Messinbird, strong in volleyball and basketball and a provincial champion, was not selected Male ACTY, speculating rural bias. The Super 8 awards are sponsored by the Super 8 Motel chain.
