Roblin community names Crocus Court to replace Roblin Personal Care Home
The Roblin Health Centre board on Tuesday chose Crocus Court as the new name for the Roblin Personal Care Home from six finalists. Also noted is cooler civic activity with fewer volunteers behind the 71st Roblin Ag Society Fair. In local commerce, 120 cattle passed Roblin Auction Mart with butcher cows selling 44 to 55 cents.

Dear Editor, 315 people testified at the Manitoba Legislature during Committee stage on Bill 17 The Environment Amendment Act a bill imposing a moratorium on the pork industry. Producers, suppliers, researchers, veterinarians and farm groups warned of economic harm while Hutterite colonies and immigrant workers voiced fears for livelihoods. Businesses outside hog production questioned government motives and fears of a broader anti investment climate. The Progressive Conservative Caucus opposes Bill 17 urging science based policy and environmental protection. Debate set for September.
