Natural Resources Minister Leonard Harapiak announced fall hunting rules for sharp tailed grouse ruffed grouse spruce grouse Hungarian partridge and ptarmigan with resident licences at 7 Canadian dollars and non residents at 85 dollars. In northern zones 1 to 11 seasons run September 1 to December 20 while zones 12 to 87 run September 19 to November 8. Ptarmigan open September 1 in zones 1 to 11 and close February 14. Daily bag limit is six birds and possession limit 12. Hunting is allowed from half an hour before sunrise to half an hour after sunset. Prohibitions apply in Riding Mountain Birds Hill Beaudry parks Oak Hammock and area 38.
