Fire damages Shevlin area home of Dale and Linda Chase
Early Thursday morning a blaze at the Dale and Linda Chase farm residence in the Shevlin area prompted emergency response at 5 12 am. Chief Tom Bowley said the alarm woke Linda who heard smoke and saw it. An extension cord is suspected as the possible cause though unconfirmed. Fire spread inside to the basement and up the walls destroying floor joists and rafters. The house was not leveled but will require replacement. The couple saved some clothing and possessions.
