Selinger outlines multi year tax cuts across personal, corporate taxes
Premier Selinger unveils a multi year plan with continued tax relief. Personal income tax reductions totaling 39.6 million include lowering the middle bracket to 12.75 percent and raising the middle income threshold to 66 000 dollars. Corporate cuts total 27.4 million to 13 percent with phased capital tax elimination and enhancements to the Manufacturing Investment Tax Credit. The plan also expands the health and post secondary education payroll tax threshold and extends credits for farmland education and film production.
