Roblin town council declares January 1999 Water Conservation Month and launches a kit program. Councillor Borden Hawryluk urges residents to adopt low flow fixtures to cut water and energy use, with Lions Club installers handling kits of shower heads faucets and valves.
Legion Auxiliary gathered December 8 1998 with 16 members present. Velma Buick chaired and thanked Donna LaBlanc for a Christmas party invitation. Donations totaling 150 funded local groups and a late note corrected a donor spelling while 1999 officers were installed by Evelyn McCrea. A 42-member turkey supper followed.
A warm seasonal message wishing seeds of good work grow into harvests in the year ahead. It prays for faith and time together, and hopes the recipients' good deeds inspire their children with integrity for generations.
