Boxing Day Fire Claims Local Man
An RCMP report says a Boxing Day fire at a Roblin area farm home claimed the life of an unidentified 86 year old resident known as Gus Yakimishyn. Firefighters found him unresponsive and pronounced him dead on scene. A 98 year old woman occupant escaped unharmed. The Office of the Fire Commissioner ruled the fire accidental.
