New Year reflections and community hopes for 2013 and beyond
The piece reflects on New Year resolutions and optimism for personal and community improvement. It weighs personal aims like quitting smoking, exercising, and saving money against the reality of waning motivation, then pivots to communal hopes for development, economic growth, and a revitalized city in the coming years. It ends with a wistful editorial wish for a repaved Main Street.
