Local Youth awards honor hikers and debate on abortion

Plaques went to Corey Church the youngest, Mrs. Clara Henry the oldest, and Fr. John Pazak for raising the most money. A video contrasted Morgentaler and Dr. The debate showed the ongoing challenge for pro life groups to reduce abortion rates while noting rising youth involvement.

4-H Duty Doers Meet Discuss Public Speaking and Plans

The Roblin 4‑H Duty Doers held their fifth regular meeting at Columbia Hall on February 18 1984 with Shawn Cockerill presiding. Members heard about a District Public Speaking event on March 5 and a Rally program by the Rally Committee. They approved a Colgate-Palmolive fundraising promotion and welcomed guest speaker Mr Jim Short of Toastmasters. Twenty eight members and twelve parents attended a Valentine party with games and lunch.
