Warble Fly Damage to Livestock and Leather Goods
The text explains how warble flies terrify animals, lower milk production, and slow gains in flesh. Infested cattle become unthrifty. beef carcasses suffer from trimming at the loin, lowering carcass grade. Hides damaged by larval emergence lose value. Two warble fly species exist in this country with similar harmful habits and life cycles. The female lays eggs on hair near legs and under the body of cats on hot days.
